A Wheelie Great Easter
Thousands of bikers from all over Scotland made their annual visit to Glasgow on Easter Sunday for the MAG Scotland Easter Egg run to Yorkhill Hospital.

8000 bikers took part this year, raising over £21000 on the day for the Yorkhill Children’s Foundation. Organisers hope that the final total will exceed £30000.

The event has grown hugely in popularity over the years – from around 300 bikes in 2001 – so this year’s meeting place had to be changed from Kelvin Way to the SECC. So many eggs are now delivered that the extras are distributed throughout other hospitals and community health locations in the city.

Craig Sigerson and Emilio Giannini from GWRA who were among the 8000 participants on the 16 mile parade agreed that, “it’s a great event for both the bikers and the spectators, a superb fundraising event with over £30,000 raised last year and more expected this year… and more importantly it’s a good excuse to get into the leathers.”
