Welcome to the August/September edition of the Glasgow News!

We’re celebrating our second birthday this month and our centre pages look back on some of the stories and events which we’ve highlighted over the last couple of years. Who knows what the next two years will hold!

This issue is also crammed full of community information, local events and learning and training opportunities. You have a chance to win Merchant City Festival tickets by entering the quiz, and you’ll see in our Letters page that two Glasgow News readers are looking for information which they hope you can provide.

Although we’re more than half way through the school holidays, there’s still a lot going in Glasgow, as you’ll note from our What’s On Guide. Let’s just hope we get some great weather to round off our summer!

The Glasgow News is distributed door to door bi-monthly across the Glasgow West and Central Area. The paper operates on a not for profit basis and represents a partnership between the local economic development company Glasgow West Regeneration Agency, the Glasgow Community Planning Partnership (GCPP) – West, the Glasgow West Community Health and Care Partnership (CHCP) and Strathclyde Fire and Rescue. It is delivered to 70,000 households as well as organisations throughout the area and has a readership of over 250,000.
