BBs Kitted Out

Pictured opposite are the Junior Section of the 130th Glasgow Boys Brigade (BB) Company, based in Broomhill in their new football kits following their successful entry in a Co-operative Insurance Grassroots competition at the CIS Insurance Cup Final earlier this year.

The 130th Glasgow BB Junior Section won a 5-a-side football competition in March at Glasgow’s Kelvin Hall. The boys competed against BB companies from Partick, Maryhill and Scotstoun.

Since its Grassroots Programme was launched in 1999, Co-operative Insurance has kitted out over 2,950 youth teams.

There are three age groups within the BB Company - Anchor Boys (P1 - P3) Junior Section (P4-P6) Company Section (P7-S6). Their website can be accessed at www.130thglasgow.co.uk.

The Company was formed in October 1904 and is based at Broomhill Church in Glasgow’s west end
