D5K – Sunday 13th June, 2010

Nearly 900 people took to the streets of Drumchapel for this year’s D5K Fun Run on Sunday 13th June. Councillor Paul Carey commented that “this event is now one of the highlights in people’s calendars, not only in Drumchapel and West Glasgow, but as far afield as Nottingham. Drumchapel LIFE are supporting people to get fit while having fun, and are a shining example as to why Glasgow has been selected as host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.”

After the run, participants and spectators were invited to an afternoon of fun in Drumchapel Park, taking part in activities such as boot camp, archery, golf, circus skills, face painting and tennis.

A huge thank you is due to all the volunteers who assisted in making this year’s event such a success, ensuring that participants had a safe and enjoyable day.
