Entrepreneur Arti Scoops Business Woman of the Year

Entrepreneur Arti Poddar has won the accolade of Female Business Person of the Year at the Scottish Ethnic Awards in Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel.
The Awards, which are in their fourth year, aim to celebrate the achievement of individuals from Scotland’s Black, Asian and other ethnic minority communities across a range of categories.
Ms Poddar, 26, owns and manages a series of successful businesses including Sterling Care Homes, Nature & Herbs health supplements and Bramble & Bug digital solutions. She is also Operations Director at Lambhill Court, the Glasgow-based nursing home chain.
She said: “To be recognised as a successful business woman by the ethnic community in Scotland is a significant honour and I aim to continue to do my utmost to prove I am a worthy winner.”
The Scottish Ethnic Awards ceremony which was attended by the Consul General of Pakistan and the Leader of Glasgow City Council, Councillor Gordon Matheson and a number of MPs and MSPs, also saw former Westminster MP, Mohammed Sarwar, given a Lifetime Achievement Award.
